Mr. Crabtree is the chief client service officer at Causeway. He joined the firm in May 2004. Mr. Crabtree leads the client service team which includes relationship management and reporting. He is also a member of the operating committee.
From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Crabtree was a senior vice president with Roxbury Capital Management where he was responsible for client service and business development for the firm’s western United States institutional and high net worth clients and their advisers. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Crabtree was a principal and chief operating officer of Finacorp Securities where he was responsible for marketing high quality fixed income securities. Mr. Crabtree began his career in the financial services industry in April 1993 as a financial consultant at Merrill Lynch.
David Hissey
Mr. Hissey is a director of national accounts at Causeway. He joined the firm in January 2012.
From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Hissey was a sales associate for BlackRock and an institutional equity sales assistant for Guggenheim Capital Markets.
Jerry MacDonald
Mr. MacDonald is head of global consultant relations at Causeway. He joined the firm in February 2011.
From 2008 to 2011, Mr. MacDonald helped build and lead a successful U.S. mutual fund distribution business for Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., the firm’s inaugural effort to market its investment management group’s capabilities to intermediaries. Mr. MacDonald also helped develop and lead a sales strategy for BBH’s alternative investment group’s Asian-focused hedge fund-of-funds. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. MacDonald was a regional sales director for SEI’s investment manager services division, where he helped build out SEI’s total outsourced operations service platform to institutional investment managers throughout the United States. From 2000 to 2006, Mr. MacDonald was a director of sales for institutional investment analytics and ASP provider, InvestorForce. He was responsible for marketing its traditional and hedge fund investment manager search and analytics platforms to institutional investment consulting firms.
Turner Swan
Turner Swan is the chief operating officer of Causeway Analytics. He joined the firm in July 2001 and was the general counsel and a compliance officer through September 2020.
From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Swan was an attorney for the Hotchkis & Wiley division of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (HW-MLIM). From 1995 to 1997, he was an attorney with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP in Los Angeles, and from 1993 to 1995, he was counsel for Trout Trading Management Company Ltd. in Bermuda.
Gracie Fermelia
Ms. Fermelia is the chief operating officer at Causeway and has been with the firm since its inception in June 2001. Ms. Fermelia manages operations, compliance, trading, and other administrative functions. She co-founded the firm in June 2001 and is a member of the operating committee.
From 1997 to 2001, Ms. Fermelia was the business manager for the Hotchkis & Wiley division of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (HW-MLIM). At HW-MLIM, she managed the trading, marketing, client service, and administrative functions of the team. From 1994 to 1997, she was the compliance officer of Hotchkis and Wiley. During this time, she monitored compliance with client investment guidelines, applicable laws, rules and regulations, proxy guidelines, and personal securities trading. From 1985 to 1994, Ms. Fermelia was a senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the investment company practice.
Ryan Myers
Mr. Myers is a quantitative portfolio manager at Causeway. He joined the firm in June 2013 and has been a portfolio manager since January 2021. His responsibilities include alpha research, stock selection, and portfolio construction.
From 2010 to 2012, Mr. Myers served as chief investment officer of Iron Castle Asset Management, an investment partnership focused on mid-cap U.S. equities. From 2007 to 2008, Mr. Myers worked as an analyst at Canyon Partners, where he covered the cable, media, telecom and satellite sectors. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Myers was an associate for Oaktree Capital Management in the distressed opportunities group. Mr. Myers began his professional career in 2003 as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs in the technology, media and telecom group.
Gregory Squires, CFA
Mr. Squires is a fundamental associate portfolio manager at Causeway. He joined the firm in April 2014. His current responsibilities include coverage of companies in the materials sector.
From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Squires worked at Bel Air Investment Advisors as a member of the equity team. From 2010 to 2012, he worked as a financial institution specialist for the FDIC where he analyzed banks at on-site reviews. Mr. Squires began his career as a research analyst in 2009 at LECG.
Mike Cho, CFA
Mr. Cho is a fundamental senior research analyst at Causeway. He joined the firm in July 2014. His current responsibilities include coverage of companies in the technology, communication services, industrials, and energy sectors.
During the summer of 2013, Mr. Cho interned at Causeway, researching the media sector. From 2006 to 2012, Mr. Cho was a junior equity research analyst and an assistant portfolio manager at NWQ Investment Management, where he covered the transportation industry. From 2004 to 2006, he was the assistant vice president of the advisor group at Trust Company of the West.
Brian Woonhyung Cho
Mr. Cho is a director and fundamental portfolio manager at Causeway. He joined the firm in September 2013 and has been a portfolio manager since January 2021. His current responsibilities include coverage of companies in the technology and communication services sectors.
From 2011 to 2013, Mr. Cho was a vice president at BofA-ML Equity Research, covering the IT hardware and supply chain sector. From 2007 to 2011, he worked as an associate at Goldman Sachs Equity Research covering the same sector. From 2006 to 2007, he worked as an analyst at Morgan Stanley Equity Research covering the internet and interactive software sector. Prior to that, he worked as an analyst at PA Consulting Group in the financial services practice.
Steven Nguyen, CFA
Mr. Nguyen is a director and fundamental portfolio manager at Causeway and is responsible for investment research in utilities & renewables, healthcare, and business services. He joined the firm in April 2012 and has been a portfolio manager since January 2019.
From 2006 to 2012, Mr. Nguyen was a senior credit analyst at Bradford & Marzec covering high yield and investment grade companies in the telecommunication services, cable, media, gaming, insurance, and REIT industries. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Nguyen was a credit analyst/portfolio manager in the corporate bond department of Allegiance Capital.
